Sells-Floto Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Vintage Circus Poster
Buffalo Bill's Wild West shows made a fortune between their first performance in 1872 and 1913. But Buffalo Bill's bad investments caused him to fall behind with payments on loans from Denver businessman Harry Tammen in 1913. Tammen had the show "legally" seized when the Wild West show rolled into Denvern for a show. Tammen then forced Buffalo Bill to join the Sells Floto Circus which Tammen owned. Buffalo Bill passed away in 1917 and an entire authentic American entertainment style passed with him. The hard-to-find stone litho poster is from nearly ten years later, and was printed by the circus as a post mortem souvenir.
