seedpod crowned crane hand painted happy critters . . . Crowned cranes are stunning large birds, up to 3 feet tall. With those crowns of spiky feathers on their heads, they sure have a regal look about them. Using the seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii), Fair Trade Zimbabwean artists have created these charming little birds. Standing on hand twisted wire feet, they are between 3-4" tall and are hand painted in the rich bright colors of each bird's plumage.
