seedpod kingfisher hand painted happy critters . . . The kingfisher is a stocky with a straight pointy beak. As their name states, they are expert fish catchers and watching them in action is sight to be seen! Using the seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii), Fair Trade Zimbabwean artists have created these charming little birds. Standing on hand twisted wire feet, they are between 3-4" tall and are handpainted in the rich bright colors of each bird's plumage.
